I received the email below from the Democracy for America mailing list. Check it out if you live in Chicago-land and you would like to take a day and help canvas for John Kerry in Milwaukee. This event takes place tomorrow (Sat., Sept 18), so RSVP quickly.
Help Defeat Bush in Chicago
Democracy for America is developing a new generation of leaders and activists with the campaign skills and tools necessary to fight for democracy in every election cycle. But all of our long-term work will be monumentally harder if George W. Bush is reelected. That's why we're redoubling our efforts to elect John Kerry this November. New polls are showing John Kerry and George W. Bush deadlocked and just a few hundred votes could make the difference.
This Saturday, Democracy for Illinois (
http://www.democracyforillinois.org/) is organizing a road trip to knock on doors in Milwaukee. Volunteers from Democracy for Illinois will join volunteers from the League of Conservation Voters Environmental Victory Project to talk to undecided voters:
http://organize.democracyforamerica.com/signup.php?eventID=16854Face to face contact is the best way to persuade voters and make sure that they turn out on election day. Please join us this weekend for this vital outreach effort. Here are the details:
