Anybody have any thoughts on how the Illinois delegates
to DNC are going to vote?

I have a sneaking suspicion they'll go for Donnie Fowler instead of the good Dr. Dean.

But who are our delegates?

2. Here's a list I got a month ago:
Thomas Hynes, 19th Ward Committeeman, Chicago;
Edward Smith, VP & Regional Mgr, Laborer's Intl Union of North America, Springfield;
Cardiss Collins, Chicago;
Iris Martinez, Vice Chair IL Democratic Women, State Central Committee, Chicago;
Michael Madigan, Chicago;
Thomas Lakin, Wood River;
Constance Howard, Chicago;
Emil Jones, IL State Senate President,Chicago;
Marcia Garcia;
Joseph Cari, Chicago, Springfield & Washington DC;
Rev. Willie Barrow, Bd of Directors, Rainbow Push Coalition, Chicago;
Margaret Blackshere, President, IL AFL-CIO, Chicago.

We all know who Tom Hynes, Michael Madigan, Emil Jones are and Cardiss Collins is a former Congresswoman from the West Side of Chicago.

Iris Martinez and Constance Howard could be either State Reps or State Senators.

Edward Smith and Margaret Blackshere represent the unions.

Rev. Willie Barrow is self-explanatory.

Thomas Lakin, Marcia Garcia and Joseph Cari are complete unknowns to me. Can anyone give me a clue as to who these people are?

3. Madigan doesn't seem like the biggest Dean guy
Anyone from the Rainbow Push Coalition should back Dean IMO.
Didn't AFL-CIO endorse Dean?

4. No, they declined to endorse anyone.
They left it up to the individual unions. Apparently UAW, the Machinists and AFSCME came out today in favor of the good doctor.

Quite frankly, Tom Hynes doesn't strike me either as a Dean guy, but Emil Jones does.
