Winnebago County Democratic Activist Dies
Polly Berg, a longtime Winnebago County Board member and Democratic activist in the county, passed away Saturday night at age 76. Those of you who live in Rockford and Winnebago County will recognize her name and know her history as a true pioneer for women in local politics. Polly was a good friend to me (and to most everyone) when I started becoming active in the local Democratic Party, always ready with a word of advice or instruction. She was a terrific lady, and she'll be missed.

1. I met her
on a couple of occaisions -- a true pioneer and a wonderful woman. I join you in saying, she will be missed. Thanks for sharing with us, her passing.

Everyone of all stripes who is politically active is a loss for Democracy.
