Going Up River
Opened in South Bend tonight. It wasn't a very good turnout and I'm hoping to boost tomorrow night's ticket sales by posting here. We went to the 8:00 pm showing. It's a very good, moving documentary. I remember thoses years well, although I was jsut starting High School the memories a vivid. John Kerry really is a goddamn hero! Think of all the lives he and the Vets saved in Nam!

We've been busy in the 2nd district. Shut down the voter reg office on the last day of registration because they ran out of computer memory in St. Joe County. Over 2500 over-the-counter registrations that day. The Donnelly campaign turned in about a 1,000 the same day too. That's not counting all the registrations we'd been getting prior to the last day! The polling isn't with us right now but we intend to win. The first televised debate is tomorrow night. We'll be doing visiblity with Donnelly signs and asking people to watch!

We're also working on a city-wide (South Bend)GOTV rally with the unions, churches, various ethnic communities, student groups, and our local Democracy for America group. It's been a busy month.

I'm sorry to do these infrequent drive-by posts but there is sooooooo much to do. Please try to get in to SB this week if you live in the NC part of the state and see "Going Up River." It's well worth it. It's playing at Showplace 16 on the South Side. Located on Chippewa Ave by the Bowling Ave.
