Ask Sen. Bayh
Why did he vote for sr. 1927, other wise known as the "Protect America Act 2007":wtf: This act should be call the "No Reach-around Act of 2007"! I've called Sen. Bayh. He's got some splainin' to do! If he gives me the old I'm protecting you from terrorists shit I'm gonna go ballistic. I want to know if he read the f-in thing. :scared: :banghead:
They let bush come to the senate and dictate what laws they can pass. You can't go on vacation if you don't codify my right to wiretap the citizens of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
I am sooooooooooo pissed right now at the dems who voted for this shit I can barely type!
I also called my Rep. Donnelly to urge him to vote NO. Everybody get on the phone to your Rep. and STOP this shit!

2. He's coming to meet with us
NW Indiana Code Pink, on the 21st in Crown Point. We had to occupy the office and get arrested, then they postponed and cancelled, and postponed again, but they swear he's coming for sure on the 21st now. If you're close enough, you can come to our meeting and ask him in person. I have PLENTY of things that I intend to ask that man, first and foremost being if Senator Durbin said that he was on the Intelligence Committee, and therefore knew that what the Administration was telling America was lies so he voted against the war, how could you sit on the same committee and hear the same evidence, yet vote FOR the war??? I'd also like to know why he NEVER responds to letters, calls or emails. Even Lugar writes back, but never yet have I gotten a response from our Democratic senator, not once.

Anyway, I will be there, and I will be happy to try to get any questions in that you suggest. We NEED answers from that guy!!

3. Talked to Bahy's South Bend office
and was told that Aug 21st is an open meeting at Crown Point government center. I raised all kinds of hell about "protect America Act 2007" and he's suppose to get back to me. How do we get everyone to go there and ask him to explain himself about his votes?

4. I know there will be a bunch of people from Lake County there,
we've been planning this thing since March, but he's postponed and cancelled several times. One time I called to ask his office what time the meeting had been scheduled for and she told me that "the group" had decided to go to Washington to meet with the Senator instead. We did? When did we do this, because it's news to me!! Sheesh, seeing that man is not easy.

Anyway, all are welcome to join us, the more the merrier. We wanted to hold the meeting at the University Auditorium, and he'd only agree to see us in a room that holds fifty people at the County Government Center. We would love for anyone and everyone from all over the state to come, even if we overflow out into the hallway, he needs to see our presence - his assistant actually told us that "the Senator believes that the people of Indiana are for the war, not against it." So, please join us, I'll be sure to let you know the time when they finally decide. And if you don't come, rest assured, we have at least twenty five people who intend to ask him to explain himself and his votes and have been preparing for this day for months.
