Anybody else seeing heavy turn-outs?
My GF tells me she had to wait 20 minutes to vote. I'll be voting in a little while.

20 minutes is unheard of in my little town....

1. I had to wait about 30 min...
...This is my first time voting in a presidential election (I'm 20) so I don't have anything to compare it to. But there were many democratic yard signs right in front of my polling place, the only republican one was Andy for Indy.

2. Huge turnout in suburban Cleveland
I voted by 7:15 this morning and was number 56 in my precinct. Lines for two other precincts were even longer!

4. Very light in my 'burb
At 7:00Am, I was voter number 20 for my polling place... no challengers in sight. The host church was providing free coffee and baked goods. Plenty of time to double check my ballot for correct holes punched and no hanging chads. On principle, I declined to vote for the unopposed repuke candidates, since there was no way to vote against them.

I know we have it pretty soft. Hope it's this smooth for everyone, or at least is bearable. The rain is looking like one of those all-day types, unfortunately.

I did thank the poll workers for their efforts... be sure to thank YOUR poll workers, too! (If they're any good at least.)

I'm off to work the phone bank and try to get some more Dems to brave the elements!

Kerry in a Mudslide!

10. I don't vote for un-opposed ReTHUGs, either.
And I vote "No" to all judges, since casting no vote either way is counted as a "Yes" vote...

5. Yes!
on Cleveland's east side. I've never waited in line to vote because I go very early.

Today I got there about 7 and had to wait 30 minutes.

I did not see anyone being challenged about voting.

8. HEAVY turnout in suburban east Indy....
Got there at 7:40, left there at 9:05. I was voter number 225. And as I left, the line was even longer than when I got there...

Hope this bodes well for the Kernan/Davis ticket...

I used to live in Warren Twp., I knew Tom Marendt personally...
And Susan Williams was my councilor when i lived downtown. It was a PLEASURE to vote for her for Super of Public Instruction!

11. yes!
in a town of 4,500 people in repuke southern indiana county there are 30 minute waits...that NEVER happens. We don't have more than 2 contested races on our local ballot. This is unbelievable.

12. Fuck yes
By 10 o'clock, at least a couple of precincts were already reporting one-third of eligibles had voted. This despite the rain. Damn.
