Sounds like lots of intriguing and progressive stuff going on. Obviously I can't make it (wrong time zone), so it'd be sweet if some NOLA-area DUers could attend in my stead.

Funny is that I came to this forum today to see if there is any energy-efficient rebuilding going on. We are both from out of state!

I believe that wonderful homes can be built with scant heat gain from the summer sun and solar hot water heaters to take away that energy demand. Correctly-positioned windows could passively heat the house. Good luck to all of you.
