CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) - A Washington Post editor, a B-B-C senior
producer, and a Newsweek managing editor are among incoming fellows
and visiting faculty at Harvard University's Joan Shorenstein
Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy.
The Shorenstein Center is based at Harvard's J-F-K School of
Government. It brings journalists and scholars together to explore
the relationship between the press, politics and public policy.
The 2004 Fall fellows include Ben Bradlee, who was the executive
editor of the Washington Post during the Pentagon Papers and the
Watergate scandal, and Jacqueline Jones, a senior producer at B-B-C
Television News.
Evan Thomas, assistant managing editor at Newsweek since 1991,
will be the Edward R. Murrow Visiting Professor of the Practice of
Press and Public Policy.
