I really liked what he had to say. Of course, he mentioned that he voted against the Patriot Act and that he still has not seen evidence for increasing troops in Afghanistan. He said his preference is for single payer health care, but since we likely won't get that he is going for a plan with a public option. I basically liked everything he had to say.
One comment I particularly liked was when he was talking about being a regular guy, mentioning that he lives in a two-family house and said something to the effect of none of the others in Washington live in a two-family house, they probably don't even know what one is.
I wish my memory was better so I could remember exactly what he said when he was outlining differences between him and Coakley. He talked about civil liberties. Said that she got certified to argue in front of the Supreme Court so she could argue for people not having the right to cross-examine witnesses. He mentioned something else where she came down for limiting rights in a similar fashion, but as I said, the memory isn't cooperating. Whatever it is, this all ties into my own reluctance to have former prosecutors in political positions; I think they tend to be real hardasses, often limiting rights like this (and usually also being against medical marijuana, being pro- war on drugs).
I filled out a volunteer form and will try to do some campaign work for him.
