Assholes at the Herald want Romney to pick senator
to replace Kerry when Kerry wins.

They call the move to let voters choose in a special election a "democrat's political scheme".

Yes, only the Herald would consider letting the voters decide over letting one man decide... a "scheme".

I'd write a LTTE, but they have never printed one of mine before, so why bother.

1. I dont even bother with that rag anymore
The only people I know who ever buy that thing are people who commute via train and find the tabloid format easier to deal with. The new editor is doing his damnedest to deastroy any credibility the paper ever had and simply turn it into boston's version of the Post.

3. That's odd ...
they want the voters to decide on gay marriage but not this.

Huh. Go figure.

4. I tired of the Herald a while back . . .
When they tried to label Kerry's decision to go ahead and accept the nomination at the convention as a monster 72 point headline that said "SENATOR FLIP-FLOP DOES IT AGAIN." Despite the fact that he'd never said he would delay acceptance.

I used to flip through it if it was around, now I throw it away if I see it sitting around.

5. Yeah, that headline enraged me. Also, this weekend
in huge 234982348 font letters:
MCCAIN NO WAY TO VEEP.

Making it sound like Kerry offered it and McCain said "no way" in disgust. It was more like "no thank you" if it even happened at all. Herald is a bunch of liars.

9. I was actually rather pleased at lunch today. . .
The sandwich stop I eat at pretty regularly used to have copies of the Herald laying around for customers to read while they waited and ate. . . . all of a sudden, no more Herald as of today. There were numerous copies of the Globe around though :).

10. Sweet! My library doesn't carry The Herald. I love that.
It makes me laugh. We have tons of newspapers and no Herald. They know it's trash.

6. you guys have it aLL wrong
the heraLd wants the voters to choose.. in 2006.

the heraLd cLaims in the same editoriaL, that if this goes through, there wiLL be a huge backLash at the voting booths... of course they said the same thing months ago over the gay marriage debate.

i stiLL can't fathom how romney won. but then again, i can't fathom how shannon o'brien was the top choice for the dems.

8. Yeah, but if voters choose in 2006... who will choose in November?
Romney. We'll be stuck with a Romney hand-picked until 2006.

7. Please answer these questions:
1) Will the legislature be successful at changing the law?
2) Can Romney actually win the veto this fall?
3) Who will run to replace Kerry?
4) Who even reads the Herald?
