Who's going to come to DC for the September 15 march?
Edited on Mon Jul-30-07 03:26 PM by SharonRB
I posted something in the Activists HQ forum.

livvy? MrsG? PassingFair? Any other Michiganders(ians) game to come this time?

NW is having a fare sale and round trip from Metro to National is only $119.80 with all fees and taxes right now if you book by August 9.

1. Hey, what about me?!
I've actually been thinking about it. Don't know if I can find out for sure before that deadline, though. (That's a great price and much better than taking a bus!) We'll talk in Chicago. (Can't wait - looks like we'll be arriving around the same time as you, if not later)

3. Oops!
I actually thought about you after I typed that post, but figured I'd see you in Chicago. It would be great if you could come.

I'm trying to pin down some roomies before I book a room. One of my regulars from the KOEB probably won't be able to make this one. If you come without the hubby and want to room, let me know. I typically stay at the Capitol Hill Suites and get a room for three or four. It's really reasonable.

2. I can't.
I'm teaching that Saturday and can't get out of it. :(

5. I know. I would've loved to go.
I'm hoping to figure out how to get to DC with the kids for a protest, but I'm also hoping there won't be a need for any more of them by the time I can go. *sigh*

6. I am planning on it!
I'll have to book a flight soon. Are you going on Friday like usual?
I'm going to try to get one of the teachers in my building to come, too, but not sure about her. I tried calling her today when I read your post in the other forum, but she wasn't home.
We should do the meetup at the Hawk 'n' Dove again. That worked out well. I'll even try to stay awake on Saturday night.
If you need a roomie, I'm game.

9. Woo hoo!
I just got back from YearlyKos this evening, but I was planning to call you this week.

It wouldn't be a march without you. Wolverine can't come, so we'll have to figure out if we have any other roomies before we book the room.

I'm going to book my flight in the next day or two -- NW has a special until the 9th for 119.80 round trip including taxes. Do you want me to let you know what I book? I will most likely do something mid-morning-ish for Friday with a return late afternoon or early evening on Sunday. You can leave your car here, as usual, if you want. I'll try to call you from work tomorrow if I get a chance and we can look at the schedule. My day may be a little crazy, since I was out on Thursday and Friday.

Yes, we should do the Hawk & Dove again, too. That has worked out well for the last two marches.

DC here we come again!

Sharon

7. I'd go
but $120 is still a bit much for me at the moment. Any charter buses or carpools going on that anyone knows of?

8. I'm sure there will be some, but I couldn't find any info on it, yet.
Keep checking www.Sept15.org

I took a bus to DC in June, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. It was a long trip, but fun, and I enjoyed the sense of camaraderie.

10. There are always busses
but it will probably be a while before they're arranged. If I hear anything, I'll post it.

12. Great!
Hope we get a chance to meet. We'll probably have a big DU meetup on Friday night at the Hawk & Dove. When arrangements are made, there will be information in the DC forum and the Activists HQ forum.
