Frankenmuth Mutual
Has anyone had dealings with Frankenmuth Mutual, specifically their home owners insurance? We have an average home with 1 prior claim almost eight years ago for water damage (with Citizens) and switched last December to FM, and in that time the underwriters have visited our home for pictures three times and is wanting to set up a fourth visit this coming week. We always do what they ask of us, but each time they come out they have another set of "chores" for us to do. Our house is not a shack, we've been renovating it this year, so actually, things are looking pretty good! We never had this problem with Citizens. They came out once, and in eleven years, we never heard from them again, until they had to inspect for water damage, and even that was painless.

Anyone have experiences like this in general with their home owners insurance? Is this just the sign of the times, or is this company just irritating?

I think they are a good company, but conservative in that they try hard to keep their loses low. I wouldn't be concerned, but I would be curious and ask if there are any changes you can make to lower your rates.

They are awful, not just irritating. Go too this link - they dispute 99% of their Workers Compensation cases, and also have been accused of bribing a judge. Go back to Citizens!!
