MI--11th Congressional District - Thad McCotter (R), etc.
Does anyone know anything about the 11th Congressional District, what's going on, what people are saying, whether there's a general sense that the district's going to be competitive in the general?

Does anyone know anything about Truran?

Bush 51%
Gore 47%
this was in 2000
89.5% White
3.7% Black
3.0% Asian
0.3% Native American
0.0% Hawaian
1.4% 2+ races
0.1% other
2.0% Latino
McCotter is 39 and won by a margin of 57-40 last time against a democrat who ran as a centrist dem and outspent the guy 2:1. Also the margin was larger than expected. Cant tell you too much being I am an outsider but my political almanac doubles as my political bible.

2. Sorry.
I live in Belleville and haven't heard anything from Truran. Before the primaries, I had emailed the campaigns for both Truran and Fundarski for info, but I only heard back from Fundarski. If you learn of any campaign events for Truran, please post them here. I'd like to hear him speak at least once before the election.

3. Well
I've talked to Truran just a couple of times. Apparently the 11th is about to receive a large infusion of cash, but it would seem it hasn't happened quite yet, and I'm not sure they have their act together. They seem to be wavering on whether to contest the race or not - which seems silly since its a contestable district.

Fundarski is a nut.
