Ann Arbor GOP council member switches
<http://www.mlive.com/news/aanews/index.ssf?/base/news-10/109619366571601.xml>

"Two years ago, Higgins ran for mayor as a Republican against Democrat John Hieftje. Higgins said Saturday the Republican Party no longer has room for her moderate-leaning views.

"It just had to do with my own personal values," said Higgins. "There is room in the Democratic Party to be moderate. ... With the Republican Party ... there is a strict party agenda. You don't want to deviate from that."

2. As we hear Jerry Falwell bellowing that he and the CC have taken
control of the Republican party, will more and more Republican politicians follow Higgins lead?

5. It wasn't that long ago that A2 had a Repuke majority on council
Today, it's almost impossible to find any Republicans in Ann Arbor, and it just got tougher!
