It's the "Fighting Bob Fest, and for more information, see here. It's on September 18th, exactly a month from today.

Basically, it's lots of Democratic speakers, and it's rumored that "someone from the presidential campaign trail will show up, and it's likely to be someone big." Hmmm, Edwards, perhaps? Or Dean or Kucinich, maybe? Here's some speakers that are scheduled:

Sen. Tom Harkin
Jim Hightower
Rep. Tammy Baldwin
A.G. Peg Lautenschlager
Robert McChesney
John Nichols
Matt Rothschild
Stan Gruszynski
Ed Garvey

Russ Feingold may show up also, and some more speakers are still TBA.

You could possibly drive to La Crosse or Eau Claire and then take a bus down and back. Obviously it would be a huge travel and time commitment that day, but I bet some of you DU'ers would do it if you could.
