Patty Wetterling for Congress! Her donation deadline is tonight, midnight

The RNC is pulling out the stops - bush is coming to St Cloud this week to bolster Mark Kennedy's support. Laura Bush campaigned in July, right next to Wetterling headquarters.

I don't know about you, but I take personal offense at them even being in the state much less trying to hurt the chances of a person of high moral character, like Patty Wetterling, representing the state in Congress.

Also, Kennedy has over $1 million in his coffers, Patty has about half that, I believe. For those who don't know, Kennedy is the guy Michael Moore interviewed in F9/11, who had just crossed the street. He is a rubber stamp politician - does whatever the RNC tells him to do.

Let's kick in some help for Patty Wetterling. Her candidacy offers us a real chance at winning back a seat in Congress. I don't live in her district but just donated $200.00. Here's her site:

Friends,

Today marks fifty days until election day. Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 14th, is primary day. Please remember to vote. I know many of you believed in me and invested early on in my campaign before you knew much about me politically. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that vote of confidence. Now I want to share with you some recent exciting accomplishments of my campaign.

Last month I was one of four challengers to give a speech at the Democratic National Convention in Boston.

I have been endorsed by dozens of important groups representing thousands of Minnesotans - from the AFL-CIO and Education Minnesota to the largest law enforcement union in the state, the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association.

My message of hope is resonating with voters. Over and over I hear from people in the 6th Congressional District their concerns about jobs, education, healthcare, and the legacy we are leaving our children.

I have been a strong advocate for almost 15 years and I know I will be a good representative of the people in Congress.

My campaign outraised our opponent by over $100,000 in the last fund raising period, but we have to keep up our efforts to win. Right now the race is neck and neck. 2. I ended up calling her campaign office to make a few comments

about their website. The guy who took my call said their campaign IS gaining on Kennedy's million - Patty is nearing one million in contributions.

The reason they are emphazing this particular deadline is that it marks the end of the period for large donations. So if you want to make a $2000 by midnight tonight, go ahead. You'll still be able to donate an additional $2000 up to and including election day. They sent the email out to notify large contributors.

3. I voted for her in today's primary - a CLOSE race

She's was trailing by 60, then 122, but is now 7 votes ahead.

She's GOT to win. We need real people in power. Not career politicians who know how to mince the system for their own gain.
