The RNC is pulling out the stops - bush is coming to St Cloud this week to bolster Mark Kennedy's support. Laura Bush campaigned in July, right next to Wetterling headquarters.
I don't know about you, but I take personal offense at them even being in the state much less trying to hurt the chances of a person of high moral character, like Patty Wetterling, representing the state in Congress.
Also, Kennedy has over $1 million in his coffers, Patty has about half that, I believe. For those who don't know, Kennedy is the guy Michael Moore interviewed in F9/11, who had just crossed the street. He is a rubber stamp politician - does whatever the RNC tells him to do.
Let's kick in some help for Patty Wetterling. Her candidacy offers us a real chance at winning back a seat in Congress. I don't live in her district but just donated $200.00. Here's her site:

Wetterling for Congress Here's her letter, which arrived yesterday:
Friends,
Today marks fifty days until election day. Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 14th, is primary day. Please remember to vote. I know many of you believed in me and invested early on in my campaign before you knew much about me politically. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that vote of confidence. Now I want to share with you some recent exciting accomplishments of my campaign.
Last month I was one of four challengers to give a speech at the Democratic National Convention in Boston.
I have been endorsed by dozens of important groups representing thousands of Minnesotans - from the AFL-CIO and Education Minnesota to the largest law enforcement union in the state, the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association.
My message of hope is resonating with voters. Over and over I hear from people in the 6th Congressional District their concerns about jobs, education, healthcare, and the legacy we are leaving our children.
I have been a strong advocate for almost 15 years and I know I will be a good representative of the people in Congress.
Tuesday is the also the deadline for our pre-primary fund raising. I ask you to please consider an investment in my campaign of $35, $50, $100, or whatever you can afford. You can contribute online at www.pattywetterling.com.My campaign outraised our opponent by over $100,000 in the last fund raising period, but we have to keep up our efforts to win. Right now the race is neck and neck.
In July the First Lady made a campaign stop next to our campaign headquarters. This week the president will become the first sitting president ever to visit St. Cloud. National attention is being paid to this race and our district. I can win in November with your continued support. Please visit my website,
Wetterling for Congress, or call our office at 320-251-2368 for more information on my campaign or to sign up as a volunteer. I can't do it without your help. Thank you for your support.
Patty Wetterling
P.S. If you give by midnight Tuesday it counts toward our pre-primary fund raising totals! We can use your contribution to demonstrate the incredible support my campaign has around the district and around the country. Click here to give!
