Debate Parties
Any DU'ers going to any debate parties listed in the JohnKerry.com volunteer page? You can sign up to either host one, or go to one.

1. I received an email about one in Burnsville
at the Holiday Inn on Nicollet near County Rd 42. Anyone going to that?

5. I deleted the email about it because I knew I'd remember the details
It starts at 6:30 and, if it's like the convention party held there, it will be in the bar area that is just to the left if you come in the front door. It's not a fundraiser and, again, if it's like the other event, you just buy any beverages or food from the hotel bar or restaurant. At the last one there was a 2nd meeting room also opened to attendees off the bar area.

3. I'm going to be on the way home from Japan
probably in the air somewhere over the western U.S. at the time the debate takes place.

6. If I heard correctly,
there is going to be a communal viewing at the:
Riverview Theater
38th & 43rd
Minneapolis

I heard a part of an announcement on the Wendy Wild (Wyld?)(740AM) show this morning. I believe this showing is sponsored by the DFL?

I'll check it out and update this post.

11. I could NOT verify.
I cannot verify that there will be a debate watching party at the Riverview Theater. My calls were directed to an automated system that lists a book reading at the 8PM time slot for this evening.

HOWEVER, I will be attending one at the Madhatter Tea Room in St. Paul on W7th Street between Randolf and St. Claire.

Happy debates everyone!
(liberals that is. I hope conservatives have a hand wringing crying fest.)

Debate Watching Party
Thursday, September 30
7:00 PM Van Dusen mansion
1900 La Salle Ave (park in the MN Church Center parking lot and walk over)

Folks from SD61 and beyond are invited to watch the Presidential debate in the comfort of the Van Dusen mansion, now a fancy B & B. Hang out in the living room or snuggle up on a bed, they're opening up the whole place to us. Bring snacks and beverages to share with your fellow DFLers and Kerry supporters. Directions to the mansion are at: www.vandusencenter.com.

10. Don't have a TV
There's a deli in S Minneapolis that stayed open for the acceptance speeches.

I'm going to ride by today and see if she's showing the debates.
