ROLL CALL: F911-- 5pm show at the Lagoon theatre on June 25

The other thread was getting kind of long, so here's the condensed version of our get-together for opening day of Farenheit 911.

Pre-movie meetup: Those who are able and interested will be meeting at 3:00 at Zeno's Coffee Shop at Lagoon and Hennepin. We'll be heading over to the theatre at 4:00.

From 4:00 on, we'll gather in the lobby, stake out a place in line, and grab a good block of seats. I'll have a little sign that says "DU" that I'll hold up in lobby for those who don't know the rest of us by sight.

After the movie, we'll head somewhere nearby for coffee/drinks/dinner (or whatever). This could be a fun opportunity to get to know each other and share our impressions of the film.

Please post on this thread if you're going to be with us, so we can get a head count for seat-saving at the theatre.

I just tried buying tickets for the 7:35 show. It has already sold out. Tickets are available for the 10:05 and 12:20am shows. I didn't try the 5:00pm show but I assume that DU'ers bought them all. Good work!

It *might* be a problem with your own security settings on your computer, but I'm not savvy enough to know if this could really be the reason or not.

Try accesssing the Moviefone link from the Landmark/Lagoon theatre page here: http://www.landmarktheatres.com/Market/Minneapolis/MinneapolisInfo.htm

The link is at the top of the page. When you get to the Moviefone page, be sure to change the date to June 25, then click on the showtime that you want. This may or may not be important, but DO use the yellow "continue" button and NOT the "quick checkout" button -- someone else found they had alot of trouble with the "quick checkout" feature.

I hope this will work for you -- if it doesn't, you may want to check your computer's security setting.

Moviefone is run by AOL, and they have a preference for Netscape.

Internet Explorer gave me the message about security, and Safari (the browser that comes with the Mac) got stuck in a loop and couldn't process my order.

If you have Netscape, try it. It worked perfectly for me.

For the 5pm show at the Lagoon. I'm getting ready to leave soon (it's 2 hour drive from up north where I live) so I can meet up with the folks who are going to be at Zeno's at 3:00.

We are all going to be there TONIGHT (Friday, June 25). If you and your husband are going to the 5:00 show, look for us clumped together in the lobby and say "hi"!
