Diane Newton, a teacher killed while sitting in her car early Sunday, and her fiancé, Major Farrish.

A schoolteacher waiting in a parked car for her fiancé in Harlem was killed when three teens joyriding in an SUV sent her vehicle spinning onto a sidewalk, cops said yesterday.
Diane Newton, 41, of the Bronx suffered seven broken ribs - including one that pierced her heart.

"Something's got to be done about this," said Major Farrish, 42, who had planned to marry the fourth-grade teacher and mother on Sept. 27 in the Dominican Republic. "Three kids go joyriding, and a good woman is dead."

While Newton's friends and family mourned her death, the mother of the teen who allegedly swiped the SUV from his stepfather lashed out at her son.

1. Diane Newton was quite a woman.
Going from crossing guard to teacher takes determination. And hope.

Jamal trashed his entire life at 18. Why?
