Vote for marriage amendment?

Some lawmakers have introduced a bill in the General Assembly that would let voters decide in November whether to amend the state constitution to define marriage as a union of a man and woman. How would you vote?

1. I vote no.
Okay, let's read the link.

"Raleigh, N.C. — North Carolina lawmakers and religious leaders . . ."

Stop right there. Is this a violation of separation of church and state?

3. its not going to happen. GOP brings us this type of leg every year
and our democratic majority legislators kill it.

Gay bashing is losing its potency.

4. I hope so
I understand it was introduced tho' by a couple of catholic bishops here. I guess they are feeling their oats to see how much of that NC will tolerate. Can anyone verity that. I thought I read it at WRAL site, but I can't find the article now. We need to push back HARD on this shitty behavior.

One thing that I have always liked about NC is that while it was in the past conservative, there weren't a lot of divisive "culture war" flashponts that took hold here. When you are settled primarily by Moravians and Quakers and Presbyterians and Africans with their own spirituality, it's hard to get people worked up. :P
