Ohio Governor: Strickland by 25
From Yahoo News "During the past several months, Democratic Congressman Ted Strickland's edge over Republican Secretary of State Ken Blackwell has ranged from four to seventeen percentage points. Now, in our latest election poll of Ohio's gubernatorial race, Congressman Strickland leads his opponent by an intimidating 57% to 32%."

1. This is fun, & I still think it's too early to read too much into it, but
I think both Strickland and Blackwell are pounding the pavement hard, and it gives more people a chance to get to know them. I think character (or lack thereof) becomes apparent very quickly when you do that. In Strickland's case, it will pay off. He needs to keep working hard, and stay the course.

2. "Common Sense?"
That's the name of the group running newspaper and TV/radio ads stating Strickland "voted to increase social security tax 30%" and that he's been rated 402 of the 435 least effective Ohio legislators.

Let's not even give them web traffic by going to their website, but they've been pounding the media, implying that Strickland is a zebra (?) and asking if a zebra can change its stripes.

Ted needs to fight back NOW and keep that lead.

3. "Common Sense?"
Hell yes, hit back and hit hard. Just call them lier's and crooks. The rest of the country knows what Ohio has become under the Graft Administration. Remind these fools how they have been screwed and worst yet, laughed at. Republican and Democrat alike can't in their right mind be enjoying those funny looks and jokes about Ohio we seem to get when we travel.
We are the new hillbilly state and a bunch of dumb asses that a goofy fool misled.

4. I forgot I heard that yesterday--"Common Sense" b.s.
definitely, he has to fight back, hopefully in conjunction with the state and national Party, so that Ted can stay focused on his positive message(s.

a very good reminder not to just sit back--ever.

5. There's another site up, too
that I learned about reading Steve Hoffman's column in the Beacon Journal this morning:

www.tellthetruthted.com

I am torn about going to these sites, because I do want to know, to some extent, what the Blackwell camp is up, too. Their tactics have been pretty insidious so far, but they are going to become more brazen.

6. Oh, go ahead . . .
take a peek and let us know. I'll confess I went to Common Sense's site and found nothing to validate their charges.

7. You have to see it, to get the full impact
But I didn't really read the fine print, just the main headings. I just find it tiresome; and because I have just seen it, I haven't developed a sense of how it will hit swing voters.
