Just returned from F-9/11 in Dayton.
Impressive, really impressive.

The movie was sold out at the showing I attended as well as the previous and following showings. I went to a small downtown theater and it's also showing at two area multi-plex theaters.

Maybe there are a few liberals in these parts.

I kept thinking that if everyone in this theater tells 3 Ohio undecided voters about this movie, and if that could repeat in each Ohio theater, we'll easily win this battleground state.

We DU members are aware of most, if not all, of the points Moore covers, but I heard people behind me whisper to each other "Really? I didn't know that" -- now they do.

I wore my DU "revolution" t-shirt and several people asked me about it. I was more than happy to pass along the info.

When a reporter asked Michael Moore if he realized the film was so partisan that Moore was "preaching to the choir," Moore responded by saying that "now the choir has something to sing about."

How true, how very true.

1. Hey, lady ...
Is it at Neon or Little Art? We're not going to be able to do it this weekend, although the Mr. says we'll probably buy an extra ticket when we do (just to bump up the gross later in the cycle). I figured Neon, from your description -- and supposedly, the Regals were showing it, too.

3. The Neon.
That's where I saw it tonight. It's also at Cross Pointe and at Regal on Fairfield Road.

I looked and looked for more DUers, but from the response I received from my DU "revolution" t-shirt, I was the only one.

Wish I could have met you and Mr. Nownow -- maybe another time.

2. Dayton is actually a solid Democratic city believe it or not
The good thing is that the movie is being shown the most in Columbus, a swing city.

Not "warm and cheerful" towards me and my kind, at least.

16. Im in Washington Twp, too.
Believe it or not this area is even more Republican than posh Oakwood.

But I really like it here.

7. I hope all Ohio DUers post their F911 stories here!
I saw it this afternoon in West Chester, early matinee. Nowhere near sold out, huge theater, about 75 viewers (I counted!).

It was a very boisterous, happy, attentive, EXCELLENT crowd. At the end, the entire theater burst into applause, before quieting back down, and re-taking their seats, to read Moore's dedications.

I'm amazed and encouraged by the early support the film is receiving. It blew my mind; I didn't even really expect that I'd feel the way I did when it was finished. I immediately vowed to take some of my on-the-fence friends to see it.

This film represents an important moment in "The Underground," and I think one day folks will look back on Bush's defeat and speak of this film as part of the wave.

13. I saw the film this past Monday (6/28/04)...
in Mason at the 1:20 pm show and there were about 50 people in the theater. Not a bad showing for a Monday afternoon. Considering how conservative Mason is I was really pleased.
