Democrats refuse to attend vote on workers' comp
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Republican Lieutenant Governor Mary Fallin's attempt to preside over the Senate and force a vote on a GOP workers' compensation bill has ended.

Fallin brought the proceeding to a close at midnight after failing to get a quorum and said the legislative body would be adjourned until Monday afternoon.

She said if negotiations were still at an impasse on the legislation over the weekend, she would return to the Senate on Monday.

Fallin took her place as presiding officer about 9 p.m. Thursday and didn't leave until 1:40 p.m. to attend a funeral. She resumed the quorum call at 4:30 p.m., but no Democrats showed up.

I hope the Dems don't show up Monday either. Maybe a road trip to Texas is in order?

2. Pro-business themes have restricted the employee benefits
under the various state comp laws. All done under the veil of reducing employer costs and thereby allowing the employer to grow and provide more jobs. Workers are more and more getting the shaft in this soon to be third world country.

3. The bankruptcy laws, the class action lawsuit reshaping,
Medicaid cuts...everything designed to weaken the middle and lower classes and strengthen the rights of the rich. Indentured servants, that's what the Republicans want us to become. Decades of social programs gutted by these fucking cocksuckers just so they can have an even bigger piece of the fucking pie. Capitalism has shown it's ugliest, most despicable side. I'm turning into more of a Socialist every day, I can't stand this shit.

4. Capitalism has been corrupted by this administration
We now have corporate fascism with a touch of theocracy thrown in.

A little religion, tossed to the simple working class, keeps the people in line. As our founding fathers realized, utilized, and wrote about. Rove is instrumental in turning this country into a third world country.

We all need to be angry and express it to everyone we deal with. We might have to keep our mouths shut with our employers, but underground movements can be very powerful.
