fellow Oklahomans - what is your response to Inhofe????
I'm sure he has a way to know what party we belong to. As people who would never vote for him, why would he pay any attn to us???

To paraphrase Tulsa's RW 1170am KFAQ's motto 'He knows he's Right and we're Wrong.'

1. Inhofe is just another mean Repub. I think he made the
others cringe, and John McCain walked out while he was speaking.

2. Response?

Mr. Inhoffe, you're an idiot.

That's my response.

I've called and mailed his office before on various things. I've never received a response, and I've never been treated even politely by the people who answer his phones. Seems to be a job requirement that one is a jerk before they get hired for that office.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - As others condemned the reported abuse of Iraqi prisoners, U.S. Sen. James Inhofe on Tuesday expressed outrage at the worldwide outrage over the treatment by American soldiers of those he called "terrorists" and "murderers."
"I'm probably not the only one up at this table that is more outraged by the outrage than we are by the treatment," the Oklahoma Republican said at a U.S. Senate hearing probing the scandal.

"These prisoners, you know they're not there for traffic violations," Inhofe said. "If they're in cellblock 1-A or 1-B, these prisoners, they're murderers, they're terrorists, they're insurgents. Many of them probably have American blood on their hands and here we're so concerned about the treatment of those individuals."

Coalition military intelligence officers estimated that about 70 percent to 90 percent of the thousands of prisoners detained in Iraq had been "arrested by mistake," according to a report by Red Cross given to the Bush administration last year and leaked this week.

The report also said the mistreatment of prisoners apparently tolerated by U.S. and other coalition forces in Iraq involved widespread abuse that was "in some cases tantamount to torture."

5. I think it would be entirely reasonable to hear....
.....what exactly Senator Inhofe knows about the incident in question. Does he really have more intimate knowledge about it than the average citizen? Does he know for sure that none of those detainees in Abu Ghraib prison are there for traffic violations or other such petty crimes (spitting on the sidewalk, giving someone the finger, etc)?

What does the senator really know?

10. I'll pass on this one.
Knowing Senator Inhofe, regardless out how well thought out my points would be they would be answered with self-righteous, jingoistic, conservative right-wing horse$h!t.

11. I think he knows his name.

Otherwise, I'm not sure it's safe to assume Inhofe even knows what color underwear he's wearing. The man is a bona fide moron. I met him once; he's scary stupid, and you can pick it up just from a casual meeting. "Dumbass" oozes from every pore.

Or I guess he could be a misunderstood genius who hides it well ... very well.

Nah...Inhofe knows what he's told he knows, and the rest he gets from some sort of hallucination he thinks is God whispering in his ear.

Edit: Typo

12. I've met the man and chatted with him twice.....
Edited on Wed May-12-04 03:13 PM by Route66Kid
....once when he was running against James R. Jones for the 1st CD congressional seat and lost in 1974 and once at the Tulsa Co. Republican Party booth at the Tulsa State Fair in 1992. I used to think it was just my naive youth but lately it has become apparent that it wasn't me, it was him. He did not seem genuinely personable, even when I was a teenager in '74. You have to remember the Inhofe family is extremely wealthy. Maybe I'd think differently if I was a member of Southern Hills. I agree, the man's seeming lack of intellect is embarrassing.

21. Inhofe is a piece of shit.
And he supports Kirk Humphries. Do not vote for that man. Not that you guys need to be told that, but he's a piece of shit too. There's not really any good candidates, but I would suggest Brad Carson. Yes, he's moderate, but he's the best we've got right now.
