1. So did Wu
Life would be easier if everybody thought exactly the same.

2. Gordon Smith, but that's a given
We need some sort of group organized political pressure to
get our OR reps to either vote for their constituents or
get them out...

I mean, I'm a "Democrat" but who needs Democrats who are members
of the corporate party?

Beyond working to get rid of Gordon Smith, with our existing democrats
what can we do to get them to start behaving like democrats
or else find a viable candidate to run against them in the primary?

Truly this is "least objectionable programming" versus having
representatives that actuall represent the people.

5. This makes me ill
Hooley is a solid Dem with a damn good voting record on Dem issues, but she voted for this AND the Paris Hilton act (repeal of the Estate Tax). What the hell? I feel completely betrayed.

6. Wu will not get my vote again-
Edited on Tue Apr-19-05 08:55 PM by depakid
The only reason I voted for him last time (after his Medicare betrayal) was because the Oregonian tried a sleazy smear campaign and I hate them more than I dislike WU.

Aside from being acting like a DINO- the man's poor character.I e-mailed his office before the bankruptcy vote and basically said that I voted for him last time (despite telling him my reservations in person at Pioneer Square about the medicare vote)- but that if if he went along with this- I not only wouldn't vote for him, I'd work to convince others not to vote for him next time, either.

So- if the Dems run someone in the Primary- I'll support them. If a Green runs- I'll vote for that person. I may even vote for a Republican for the first time in my life.

Whatever happens- I won't vote for Wu- that's a promise.
