Health Care Can't Wait Rally at Terry Schrunk Plaza
Just returned(with my husband and son) from the Health Care Reform rally downtown. Well attended-perhaps 3000+ people, upbeat energized crowd. I only spotted three counter-protesters. My husband was convinced that one of them was an insurance agent because he seemed to be hiding behind his sign and looked like he wanted to be anyplace else. Wendell Potter, the insurance exec-turned health care reform advocate gave the keynote address. Anyone else go?

1. I was there, I'll post pics soon.
I think you meant to type 300, that's the number I got. I saw zero teabaggers, and I looked hard. I left about 10:30, so I missed the last 1/2.

3. 3000 might be too high-
but I think 300 is way too low. The crowd built as the rally went on. We stayed until the end. It ended up going over an hour. There were two characters with anti-health reform signs near the back and and the guy that was hiding behind his sign was near the speakers, none of them caused any trouble.

5. 300 is way too low
I got there at about 10:20 and was there until the end. I started counting people in just one photo I took (one of the ones CPD linked to) and there's easily 300 people in that photo, so I'd say there were at least 1,000 people there.

Having Wendell Potter there as a speaker was a pleasant surprise to me. I just went to see what might be happening and hopefully get some good pictures. I did get to shake Potter's hand after he spoke and thank him for what he's done since his career change.

The few anti people were so little trouble I didn't even notice them, which was just as well.
