Kerry needs to go to Central Pennsylvania !!!
Bush is in Johnstown right now, and 2 local networks carried the whole speech. WTAJ & WJAC

From the airplane landing, to every hand shake out of the War Memorial.

:puke:

If Kerry comes to Johnstown/Altoona or State College these 2 stations must broadcast his speech also.

1. WJAC is really covering the protesters.
It was reported that there are a couple hundred protesters.

2. That is amazing
They closed off the 56 Expressway into Johnstown at 4:00 and my office to avoid the mess left their office at that time. You could still travel through downtown Johnstown but the Viaduct between the Bedford Street Exit and Washington Street was closed off (For you out of towners that meant instead of bypassing all of downtown Johnstown, traffic was diverted off the bypass to Bedford Street to Clinton Street left on Washington Street and than back to 56. You had to go through 8 red lights instead of the two on the bypass. The bypass is limited access till it pass over the War Memorial than it slopes down to the road next to Johnstown incline where the two red lights are).

My question what where the Secret Service afraid of? A big truck ramming itself from the viaduct onto the War Memorial or Al Queda operatives jumping out of a passing Volkswagen? My thinking is Bush feared someone jumping from the Viaduct with an anti-bush sign than any terrorist attack, but I leave the decision as to Bush's fear up to you.

3. Teresa in Harrisburg this week
She was here for an early-morning closed discussion group on health care. One of our people was sent a Bush mass emailing urging all Republicans to show up at the venue to protest, so she forwarded it to Kerry supporters late the night before her appearance. The end result? Six Bush protesters showed up, one in a dolphin costume and three of them paid staffers; about 30 Kerry supporters were there.

Teresa was in York later that day. The Kerry people there called to ask if we could bring them signs; they had so many supporters show up that they ran out. The person who took signs to York said the only Bush protesters there were the same ones who were in Harrisburg earlier.

This is supposed to be the Republican heartland, which Bush needs to win big to win Pennsylvania, but there seems to be a marked lack of enthusiasm for Bush among Republicans here.
