Posted about it already here:

I saw a Sumter Co Sheriff's Dept pickup on Sumter Highway in Cola pulling a gigantic trailer labeled as in the Subject line, as well as with "Special Operations." Wasn't sure if this was a new thing to scare red state security moms or what. Haven't been able to find out anything about them through Internet searches; presumably a mobile lab. Maybe they just repainted their Hazmat team's trailer for the election year. Odd as hell in any event.

1. wmd
Sorry people, but if a NOOKULAR weapon goes off in an American city
You wont need a WMD disaster response trailer

Not that one will, you have to have everything go exactly right
and they are not easy to build or detonate

2. While nuclear weapons aren't the only weapons of mass destruction,
I certainly agree with you that it's kind of silly to gear up against this possibility; maybe the Bushies could have tried non-proliferation. My searches at Homeland Security revealed a lot of blithering about shoring up collapsed buildings indicating that they are indeed thinking more about explosives, if not necessarily nuclear ones, than about other possible weapons. Not sure you can fit that stuff in a trailer that can be pulled by a pickup truck.
