Did I hear this right?
So, I'm back in Nashville until Wednesday and I thought I heard on the local news this morning that 120,000 people are going to be cut off the state medical program? (Sorry, I can't remember the name of the program).

We've got 30,000 being cut off Minnesota Care and I thought that was bad!

1. You heard right
It's an attempt to take control of the costs of Tenncare.

Letters are going out this week from what I heard on the news.

2. Well, hello there dflprincess. I live about 20 miles north of Nashville
I hope you have a nice visit in Nashville. And yes, it's sad that so many people will be without medical coverage in the state of TN.

3. Unfortunately, I don't have a car
so I haven't been able to see much. I'm in the Green Hills area. I gotta say, though, there's always a lot of talk about "Minnesota Nice", but I think Nashville has us beat. Everyone here is so friendly.

If I did have a car I'm be scoping out the historical sites. Fortunately, I did get to the Hermitage (sp) several years ago when a couple friends and I took a rode trip to Gatlinburg or it would be killing me to be so close to something like that and have no way of getting to it.

6. I wish like hell they had, too. That still disgusts me to this day
when I think about it. You expressed my sentiments on this well.

5. More people have been cut off?
*sigh* Everything is so messed up. On one side I wish Bredesen would take a page from Clinton's book and tax the top 1-2%. I think he's not because he wants to keep campaign promises.
