Bush Economic Legacy: Tennessee sees record number of people on food stamps
Tennessee sees record number of people on food stamps
a record number of Tennesseans to use food stamps.

The trend mirrors what's happening across the nation, where the number
of Americans on food stamps is expected to soon exceed 30 million —
higher than the record set after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. During
that disaster, some 28 million Americans sought food stamp relief.


This year in Tennessee, the number of households on food stamps rose
9.5 percent from January to October, and state officials have no doubt
that the economy, gas prices and rising food costs are to blame.

"It's the highest it's ever been, and it's people we've not seen
before," said Michelle Mowery Johnson, a spokeswoman for the state's
Department of Human Services. "It's people who always could make it
through, but gas had gotten so high and food costs are so high that we
are now seeing nontraditional clients."

Did you know that in East Tennessee horrifying health care is deemed acceptable standards of health care. http://www.wisecountyissues.com Profit care comes ahead of Patient care in Tennessee ! Bush and his greedy lying bastard pals have destroyed us.
