Please get the word out as best you can - this film did not have the funding of F9/11 - or some of the other political documentaries that have come out this year - but it's message is just as important, if not more so... More than any of these other films, a light is shown where they least like it... on Karl Rove himself, and his all too often connection with shady events...

Bush's Brain will be opening in theaters in California and across the United States Starting in late August, early Sept. For a list of current schedules please check:

http://www.bushsbrain.com/coming.htm

By all accounts, "Bush's Brain" paints a disturbing portrait of the man behind Bush's political operation - Karl Rove. Based on author's Wayne Slater and James Moore's book - the Documentary pieces together the accounts of Democrats and Republicans alike whom have suffered after run-ins with Rove. Interviews include:

Max Cleland, the Georgia Democrat who lost three limbs in Vietnam - which didn't stop Republicans from running ads against him in 2002 portraying him as unpatriotic, pictured alongside Osama Bin Laden - for not supporting the Bush administrations version of the Homeland Security Bill.

Joseph Wilson - on the potentially treasonous attack which outed his wife as a counter-terrorism operative in the CIA

John Weaver - whose career has taken him from working with Rove in Texas politics, to against him as John McCain's political advisor, and now working for John Kerry.

Molly Ivans - who has covered Texas politics for years.

Wayne Slater and James Moore: whom have both followed Rove's career and that of George W. Bush's very closely.

Fred Pokorney's surviving friends and family - Fred Pokorney lost his life in the Iraq war, and their grief is tied to not knowing whether or not this honorable man died in a dishonorable war.

Also, coverage of the smearing of John McCain in the 2000 election, an ex Young Republican leader who was jilted by Rove, exploration of "the bugging incident" many believe Rove orchestrated in the Texas Governor's race between Mark White and Bill Clements, and the Agriculture Dept scandal which ruined the lives of two dept employees for no good reason whatsoever.

Throughout the film are featured the words of Karl Rove himself in a letter responding to the authors of the book - in which he displays an uncanny ability for revisionism.

If you are interested in getting the film screened in your town or at a venue you think is a good fit, please contact: publicity@bushsbrain.com

Mrs. Dittie and I are registering voters at St. Thomas U Saturday afternoon (from 12 to 2), and then we're going to go out and play. Probably a late afternoon lunch and a couple of margaritas and then "Brain" at the Angelika, saaay, the 5:25 showing.

Who wants to come with us to any of that?

edit: I am officially OUT of the 700 club!

3. We went at 3:30, T
This film made me angrier than did F9/11.

"Hunting of the President" was previewed; another one that will make me grind my teeth.

If you (or anybody) wants to make a group of it after the Dean brunch today (or another time) just say so.
