BREAKING: Gary R. Page Gains Coveted Endorsement!
Namely, mine! ;)

Gary R. Page for Congress

If you live in District 24 in the D/FW area in TX, please consider giving Gary Page some support.

He is a hard-working guy who has a good grasp on issues that affect working class Americans, and is concerned with the image of the US in the world.

Please check out his website which is focused on a positive campaign, is easy to navigate, and spells his point of view, which is not just a cut and paste from the Kerry campaign.

Gary is a great guy who could really use everyone's support.

We met him out for dinner with the anarchies last night. His main problem is that he's not running against a Repug with major name recognition as being a jerkoff, like DeLay or Joe Barton.

Nevertheless, the opponent is running in a district specially carved out for him by redistricting, and thought he would run unopposed.

The opponent (Kenny Marchant) tows the total party line. To read his view of the issues next to Gary's, everything out of his mouth is "I support our president." He has no original thought. The only degree he has is an honorary one!

So if ya'll have a few bucks to apare this month, give Gary some consideration. We're trying to get him enough to buy a decent amount of yard signs to get him some more name recognition!

Wondering if you're in his district? ?&MMN_position=28:28

3. I'm sure he could use the GOTV support!
I'm in 32, so I'm hoofing it for Frost this fall. Encouraging fact - I've seen lots of Frost signs & stickers, notably even in UP!

4. Absolutely yes, Gary could use GOTV's support.

I just spoke with Gary and he has not met up with anyone from the GOTV group. If you have a contact to help facilitate getting him in front of and getting support from you all it would be greatly appreciated.

Check out his district, it stretchs all the way from SouthLake in the Far North, carves out of chunk of Irving (heavily Republican area), includes all of Bedford and takes in part of GrandPrairie all the way down south to Duncanville area. Marchant may not be well known outside of Texas, but believe you me, if he makes it to Washington it will be like having two Tom DeLay's. Marchant WAS DeLay's right hand man in Austin during the re-districting war and he drew the 24th just for himself and a sure win.

A couple of months ago the Dallas Morning News even published an article about Marchant and the author of said article stated Marchant was running a campaign with "no viable opposition"! Gromer (the journalist??) did not even include Gary's name as the Democratic candidate.

Anyway, once again, if you can help to put us in touch with GOTV it would help loads.

5. Hey S!
I mixed a little of your info and a little of my info to send a note to crispini for her Dallas activist Yahoo list.

I'll also put some info out on my other Yahoo lists. Hopefully he'll get some bites this way.

=)

6. Thanks FSC! It is the butterfly effect being put into motion.
Really enjoyed dinner with you guys last night and so did Gary. We need to do it more often with more of us there.

I believe with all my heart there are three activities that are of utmost importance in the coming 6 weeks. Reaching out and educating with info like Gary gave us last night and that the two of you give out every day, getting people registered (we only have till the end of September) and last but not least, enlisting volunteers to do independent exit polling on election day along with monitoring inside the polling precincts. God knows there are enough of us unemployed, underemployed or those of us able to take a vacation or sick day to make it happen. I do believe this election is going to be a truly defining moment in our history and it is all up to us.

I keep trying to impress upon my 16 year old, indoctrinated daughter, "DEMOCRACY IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT" and you better start to care. It is a message more people need to pay attention to.

7. Bring her to the Pro-Choice party tomorrow!
I don't even know if I'd heard you mention her before.

We can teach her more of what she needs to know. And she can help us spread the word among her age group!

You know where our house is; we're starting around 2:00.

=)

8. And One More Endorsement for Gary R. Page
Okay, I am partial because I live with him but who better to evaluate him as a candidate than someone who observes him day in and day out? Gary is absolutely and totally dedicated to this campaign and I assure you, will be equally as dedicated to doing what's right for his constituents once he is in Washington!! Now, if I could just get him half as dedicated to mowing the lawn!! :7
