Strayhorn Rips Perry - AGAIN!
http://www.statesman.com/news/content/metro/08/26strayhorn.html

"If you can magically manage to keep two maids, a cook and a porter on your staff at the Governor's Mansion while claiming that they are not part of your budget, certainly you can figure out a way to continue insuring the health of these children," she wrote.

"By shifting your personal Mansion staff and salaries of five other staffers to another agency, you claimed a $300,000 budget cut. Had that cut been real, the state could have used those dollars to draw down an additional $771,000 in federal money. This would have provided health insurance to an estimated 930 children for a year." "Governor, your maids and cook and porter, I am certain, are vital to your quality of life," she continued. "Please understand the insurance you are denying children with this new means test is vital to their life, period."

Bwahahahahahahaha!!!! Go get 'im Miss Piggy!!!! I love when the right eats itself!

3. I have to say that I like Miss Piggy...sometimes
She does have the attack stuff that you need to be a politician in Texas. Perry is toast, either Piggy wins or Kay Bailey does in the repuke primary. Either of these women will take him down. And mark my words, the gay issue will make a comeback.

I recently got a letter from her on the toll road issue and she says she supports a constitutional amendment to give Texans the right to Initiative and Referendum process. Funny thing is at the end of the letter she ends it with "Please know that I welcome good advice at any time. Thanks for all that you do for Texas".

Boy if she only knew I was a passionate progressive, she would not be thanking me.

4. Carolyn Keeton Rylander Strayhorn III, graduated from the Enron School of
fianance.

She took a $5 Billion deficit before the election and turned it into a $10 Billion deficit after the election.

She promised 2 FREE years of college for every student! Now instead, the fees have been raised 20-30 percent.

I LOVE her for her attacks on Perry, but then again, a wet smelly cat could beat Perry at this point.

We need someone to turn strayhorn back into the witch she is.

5. My wife wrote her on school finance reform and
got a similar response. My wife, a rabid liberal Democrat, can't wait to put a Strayhorn for Governor sign in our front yard.

(Speaking of which, how do I get a Kerry sign for my yard? Anybody know? It's a good location for a political sign: at a 4-Way Stop!)

6. Contact either the Travis County Democratic Party, or

the local Austin for Kerry group.

Edit - I saw that you're in Ft. Worth. Maybe Tarrant County's party has some. Perhaps the state site can direct you to materials too. www.txdemocrats.org.

7. Yep
I found the Tarrant County Democratic Party website on another thread and emailed them to put a sign in my yard. I may do the precinct walk this weekend and then I can probably pick up my own sign.

;-)
