Veterans Protest Bob Perry's Home
Veterans Protest Bob Perry's Home Calling for an end to the Swift Boat Ads

Veterans and local citizens of Nassau Bay Texas converged on the home of Bob Perry, Texas homebuilder and financier of the ads attacking Vietnam Veterans and John Kerry. About 50 loud protestors with signs and banners were greeted with supporting cheers from neighbors and those who passed by.

Bob Perry has financed the Swift Boat Attack ads against Vietnam Veterans by donating $200,000. He is also a very large contributor to the Republican Party and has what seems to be an overwhelming influence on state politics. This year, Perry's Vice President and General Counsel, John Krugh, was appointed by the Governor to a Commission that provides oversight to his homebuilding industry. Bob Perry has also donated about $500,000 to the Governor for his campaigns.

The Veterans in the crowd left a letter for Bob Perry on his door demanding that he stop the attack on American Veterans with his swift boat attack ad so a real debate on the issues could begin. "This is not just about John Kerry", said John Cobarruvias, organizer of the event, "It is about how Bob Perry had disgraced every single Veteran who has served their country, and those who have died for their country. Bob Perry should take down his ad and apologize to America".

Besides a large banner stating "Veterans for Kerry" other signs included "Bob Perry Homes Built on Lies", "Bob Perry $200,000 Coward", and "Shame on You".

Pictures from the event in high quality format can be requested. Pictures can be view at:

2. Oh man, I love it. Thanks for sharing, john.
I wish I could have been there. I live in Texas. Please PM me next time something is afoot. My work schedule may not let me, but I certainly will show up, glorious signs and all, if possible.

3. great pictures
I feel like I was there. Thanks!
And I understand another benefit this man received from his former governor is real estate tort "reform." That is, buy a Texas house that falls apart, and you can't sue to get repairs or a refund. You have to go before an arbitration board made up, surprise!, of homebuilders.

5. Stop Corrupt Houstonians...
GREAT work today -- makin' 'em sweat! Cool pics too.

DON'T DeLAY: I did some phonebanking today at the Richard Morrison HQ in Clear Lake. It's a cinch to find, exit I-45 at El Dorado turn east, U-turn at Space Center, and you can't miss the signs, on the north side of the street.

I had a blast. (They even gave me pizza. :) ) We were calling homes with Dems in DeLay's district to find/build Morrison supporters. It was a hoot. One older gentleman listened to my little spiel, and at the query, "can we count on your vote for Richard Morrison?" responded with gusto: "I'll vote TWICE against Tom DeLay!" He also agreed to take a yard sign -- look for them soon, sprouting up like blue flowers on lawns throughout 22.

PLEASE volunteer even 2 hours if you have it. Better yet, quit your job and hang out there full time. OK maybe not. But just IMAGINE the sweetness of this victory.

www.Morrisonfor22.com for more info, or just show up at the HQ any time 10am to 9pm. They need people tomorrow.

Peace!

I'm really not for protesting in front of someone's home but this was a good turn out. Great job.
