1. I read Friday Night Lights....
and I wouldn't be too proud of high school football in Texas if I were you.

3. Yeah, I know it has its dark side,
Edited on Thu Sep-02-04 11:34 PM by Paul_H
But here is one of the bright sides:

A team that never had a better than 3-7 record coming out of nowhere to have a great year and winning a state championship!

North Crowley Panthers

My son plays in the marching band, so we go to all the games. I'm a transplanted yankee and wasn't too keen on this HS football thing when we got here, but last season was a boatload of fun!

4. Ack.... you mean no one else here has any football ties?
We watched our team fall behind 14-0 in the first half, only to find their way in the second half. They scored the winning touchdown with less than a minute to play!

8. Well, tomorrow should be interesting...
...we have our cross-town rivalry tomorrow night: Crowley against North Crowley. The game against Crowley last year was NC's first win (after an 0-3 start) on the way to a state championship. The stadium should be jam-packed!
