Sign Vandalism Thread - Dallas, Texas

PRECINCT #1143 REPORT - 9/22/04
(Night of the Living Fuckheads)

On patrol in Precinct #1143 in Dallas, last night I noticed two yard signs ripped out of the ground - one for Kerry/Edwards, one for Dallas County Sheriff candidate Lupe Valdez. Also spotted a large Martin Frost campaign sign next to the IBEW building on Northaven vandalized with the message FUCK YOU MARTIN drawn on the sign with a permanent marker. All were spotted around 6:30pm local time.







The Kerry/Edwards sign (not pictured) was, incidentally, the first one I put up in our precinct. I replanted that sign in the ground as well as the Lupe Valdez sign, which was apparently torn down again three hours later.

I encourage other Dallas-area DUers to post their own reports of Democratic sign vandalism in their neighborhoods on this thread.

BTW, I'm hearing reports of a "point system" some GOP group is offering that awards points for vandalized or stolen signs. Any info on this?

1. find out about this GOP group and let's see if we can 'out' them - like

get their names and faces at least on the internet, if not on Olbermann's show.

Katy Hubener (D) is running against incumbent Ray Allen (R) for state house of representatives and someone drew a moustache on one of her large signs on Beltline road.
