A problem understanding how the new computer voting system works is causing a surprising mix up.
Some Democrats may be voting for the Bush-Cheney ticket, while some Republicans could be wiping out the vote for their party's candidate.

More than 70,000 people have cast an early voting ballot in Travis County using the new e-slate computer system.
Designed to eliminate problems with hole punch and written paper ballots, the new system is having a learning curve problem.
There have been a least 12 verified reports of voting mistakes.
The problem involves those making a straight party vote.
Some Democrats may have ended up voting for Bush-Cheney.
