1. What district is this?
Who is the incumbent he's running against?

2. District 6, Joe Barton. 6 has been split; Arlington & parts of Dallas
are a new district, 6 is rural areas to the SE of the Metroplex.

3. So Barton is not running in this district and this is a new one?
In other words there is no incumbent for him to challenge in the primary, right?

4. Just looked at ther latest redistricting map--looks like Joe still
represents Arlington. So, as it stands now, Joe is being primaried by this nutzoid bagger Kuchar.

Sigh, I'll have to vote in the R primary just to keep another bagger off the ballot.

Earlier redistricting had #6 losing mid-cities and a new district (30?) encompassing parts of Dallas & mid-cities. It's been in & out of the courts so much I've lost count of who's on first . . .

There should be a new district up here somewhere with no incumbent.

5. You really think this tea bagger is going to beat Barton in a primary?
I mean Barton is pretty nutty by their standards too. Plus he will have a ton of money. I can't see nutty winger Kuchar rolling Smokey Joe over in a primary. Not saying you shouldn't worry. But lets see if any polls are done closer to the primary season. If Barton feels threatened he'll spend his money - big time.

Plus the maps won't be settled quickly either. Who knows what districts will really look like.

6. I don't think Joe will be rolled, he has too much money and time in office. nt
