Natl College Rethug Convention in Arlington June 24-26
Anyone care to meet up with them, hand out enlistment forms? Maybe get a recruiter friend to go out?

I'm in TX, but I'd LOVE to if I could.

Here's a GD link about it:

..... www.therudepundit.com, and read the post for yesterday (or the day before, maybe) about College Republicans joining the military.

Really. Pundit nails it.

4. Yeah! The army should put a recruiter station right there!
Maybe let them sit in an unarmored Humvee and a tank. All those pro war Republicans in one place...probably make up that recruiting shortfall in one aftrenoon.

Great idea.

5. I want to see these young rethugs refuse the recruiters
on TV.

Not that the MSM would PUT that on TV, but damn, that would be great. Because you know they'd refuse.

Here is the contact info for the local military recruiters.

I am going to err on the side of caution and be very selective with what information I post. DU moderators seem to be very conservative about how much contact information is too much.

I've deleted direct email addresses and the names of individuals.

Additional contact info available upon request.

15. Good work! All of those VA offices are within a very short drive or
metro ride to the Crystal City Marriott. In fact, one of them is within walking distance for a fit young soldier. So I would not be surprised if they really do try to attend, as they should.

10. When I called, the Army said to contact their Public Affairs office
Army Public Affairs Office
301-677-7034
301-677-7029

I called Public Affairs, and gave them the contact info for The Young Republicans that was prominently listed on their web site and therefore intended to be made public.

College Republican Convention
If you have any questions, please contact Stephanie Holmes at 202-608-1411

How come The College Republicans' "resources" web page doesn't have links to any recruiters?
http://www.crnc.org/links.cfm

I think we should all call them.

11. Called the Navy. They were un-aware of the convention, too.
So far, neither the Army nor the Navy had been contacted to cover this event.

I was told to call Navy Public Affairs:
804-771-2001 ext 126

I spoke to a chief there, who transfered me to The Enlistment Programs Officer. The person in charge wasn't in, so I gave a message to their assistant.

He asked me what I wanted The Navy to do there at the convention.

I said maybe you could set-up a booth in the lobby. "Or, you could just walk around talking to people like you do at the mall. These are all people who supported the pResident and his policies, so you should have easy pickings there." I told him to call Stephanie Holmes to work-out the details.

So, if anyone else wants to call, the number is 804-771-2001 and ask for The Enlistment Programs Officer.

My next call is going to be to The Young Marines.

12. So now I called The Navy, The Marines and Air Force
For Young Marines, all I got was voicemail.

The Navy gave me the number for their Public Affairs office:
Sgt. Campbell
301-567-4248

I left him a message. His out-going message says that if it is an emergency, you can call him on his cell phone. I won't post his cell phone number here, but if you want it, just call his voicemail.

I left a message for The Air Force Recruitment Public Affairs at 301-567-4248 in the voicemail box of Sgt. Campbell. He's covering for the Commander who will be out until June 27th.

At the US Marine Corps I called Master Sgt. Edwards
703-784-9454
Left voicemail.

They're going to be mighty frustrated trying to catch those slippery eels.
