We should have a DU meetup in Seattle sometime.
Just a thought. I wondered about who you guys are and would love to chat about the issues of the day or anything else in person sometime.

I even know a few places to meet as well. Let's get something going.

4. I can name a few places.....
1. Piecora's (Home of the original Howard Dean Meetups. Great pizza too!)
2. Dante's in the University District. The Surfrider Foundation holds their monthly meetings there so why not us?
3. Espresso Roma. Another University District place.

That's all I can think of right now.

Anybody is invited to post anymore places.

6. Dante's?
Haven't been there in years. It was one of my original watering holes back in the late 70s.

9. Piecora was the SECOND Dean meet-up place...
Edited on Sun Sep-12-04 10:42 PM by AmyStrange
the original Dean meet-up place in Seattle was a place out near Green Lake and was a coffee shop (the name escape's me). I know, because I was one of the original members who met at the first Dean meet-up back on the first Wednesday of Feb 2003. I own (and still and run) a Dean yahoogroup which was formed from those original meet-up folks whom most are still moderators:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Seattle4Dean/

and we still have over 200 members!

Count me in on this DU meetup. I helped organize the FIRST DU meetup in Seattle back in 2002 and would be happy to host a DU meet-up at my house here on Alki. I am about a block and a half from the beach with a beautiful view,

d

8. I'd love to meet and brainstorm
with local allies! Anybody else involved with Move-on? I've gone to a few meetings but only have communicated with one other member, anybody go to the big one last Thursday night at the Garfield Communnity Center? I'm stoked about the campaign training at the end of the month, but can't see myself doing door-to-door or phoning, I'm too shy and never felt comfortable when I worked in sales. Trying to be more creative, have a few ideas, would love to put our heads together and get out the vote!
