So WTF is up with the WA congressional delegation??
And the voting for this latest ridiculous resolution equating Iraq with 9-11-01

Jim McDermott is the only Washington congressman with a brain anymore?

What an embarassment to the people of this state.

Brian? Norm? Jay? Adam? Rick? I'm talkin to you guys here!! Who did you sell your souls to, and what did you get in return?? :grr:

3. There's a thread in General Discussion on the subject
And it's linked to this article

http://www.commondreams.org/views04/0913-14.htm

It's an overall pisspoor performance for Congressional Democrats in general, but I expected better of our delegation.

Adam Smith is about as DLC as they come, so that's not too surprising. And Norm Dicks tends to be hawkish since that's his district (FT Lewis,Kitsap naval bases) so with him it was a 50-50 shot, but for the others, it just boggles the mind why they would endorse such blatant bullshit.

5. Tempest in a teapot
I just finished reading the wording of the resolution and I gotta say it's not that big of a deal. Iraq/Hussein constitutes about one subparagraph, and there's no explicit linkage with Al Qaeda.

I didn't read anything really worth fighting over ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11.

This won't be the last time I say this: you hardheaded progressives really need to do a better job of picking your battles.
