**Washington State Primary Thread**
If anybody cares......

As of 10:15 PM, looks like Christine Gregoire has beaten Ron Sims for Governor.

Deborah Senn looks to be beating Sidran for Attorney General

And it's Dave vs Dave for the 8th district - (that would be the radio host vs the cop who took 20 years to catch a guy that he knew was guilty.)

More to follow....

3. No kidding
Sidran is the worst!

I can live with Gregoire although I don't think she's a particularly strong candidate.

4. I admit, I voted for Satan.
The Stranger endorsed Sidran, and that was good enough for me. He has the experience, and he won't be in a position to impose the nasty civility laws he did in Seattle.

That said, I'm more than happy with Senn. She really deserves the position after the crap that went on with the US Chamber of Commerce ads.

5. The Stranger endorsed Sidran?
Wow, I can remember when they were all over him.

6. I know
They brought that up in their endorsement article. They had good reasons for all of their endorsements.

10. Was Sidran always a Dem?
I met him at a Dem picnic a while back and was just floored he was running as a Dem... had no clue otherwise...

7. I'm wondering...
How can they call an election so early when so many people vote absentee (something like 70%)? I'm not being facetious, I'm actually wondering.

9. the margins are huge. if all the absentees went against the trend
in most of these races (senator, gov, 8th district, not so much ag) the margins would still be huge. and i don't know that 70% vote absentee in Washington.

8. Also, Senn got pushed out of the way for Maria Cantwell in 2000
she was running for Senate, too, and the party basically asked her to back off because Maria Cantwell was paying for her own campaign and it was going to let the state party divert a lot of money to other races.
