Security for the big event will be tight – so tight, in fact, the airspace over Lake Union and Lake Washington will also be closed from about 2 p.m. Friday until Saturday morning. Many people won't be able to fly and hundreds who had already planned flights will have their flight times moved around.

Kenmore Air expects to lose at least $75,000 in business as a result and will not receive any compensation for its losses.

"It has a substantial impact. I can't think of any event in our history other than 9-11 that had such an impact as this," said Kenmore Air Director of Flight Operations Tim Brooks.


I sure hope when Kerry is President he tells the Secret Service to pipe down in regards to this level of paranoia.

I'm tired of the way he runs roughshod over the people in America... OUR tax dollars pay for most of his little fundraising trips. They should reimburse Kenmore Air. Friday in August would be one of their busiest days of the year...
