Seattle: AMERICAN JOBS documentary coming to Seattle
In my E-mail this morning:

Documentary Film "American Jobs" Comming to Seattle
Features Seattle As Ground Zero For White Collar Offshoring
The powerful new documentary film, "American Jobs", which explores the impacts of globalization on industrial towns from North Carolina to Mexico will be premiering in Seattle on September 13th.

The film looks at the political debate surrounding the North American Free Trade Agreement and focuses on the emerging trend of white collar work moving overseas by telling the stories of workers who had to train their foreign replacements only to be fired.

Greg Spotts will also be in town for the event to answer questions. A panel discussion will follow the film featuring Stan Sorscher of SPEEA -the Boeing engineers union, Owen Herrnstadt from the IAM-the Machinists union, and Brier Dudley a Seattle Times technology reporter who recently returned from India.
