Employment/Networking in Wisconsin
I don't know how appropriate this is, but I thought that perhaps we could all help each other out. My husband and I are relatively new to our area and don't know a lot of people who could help us out as far as employment networking where the majority of people around here get their jobs. I have a job. I am a quality assurance professional in the food industry. I have 3 years experience in my field and a BA in Biology. My husband is unemployed. He also has a BA in biology and has worked in sales and tech. My best friend is unemployed and has over 7 years in the printing industry. We are all highly intelligent, easy to get along with people who can pick on skills that we may not have within a short period of time.
I cannot hire anyone in my position at the plant and we have a large selection of people who want to work for our company, but we have a few openings at my plant for manufacturing positions requiring no experience. The jobs pay $9.25-$11.25/hour and are first shift. A pre employment drug test is required. I don't want to reveal too much info but if you are willing to drive a ways, Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, and Steven's Point are within commuting distance.
