Suggest we organize a group of calm level headed Kerry
supporters to help buffer the Bush mega-phone people.
The calm part is absolutely critical, and not easy, bring
a very thick skin; if you can not keep cool you need to
walk away - it's not worth it if *anyone* is hurt.
Ideas:
o it's a public place, they can photograph us, we can video
and photograph them, it's intimidating to both sides and
tests your commitment
o we're decideds, we don't have to focus on the Edwards
speech, we can calmly face down the Bush protesters to diminish
their effectiveness
o the more we can engage them in calm discussion, the more
the will be distracted from there goal of distrupting the
event
o come up with some signs that we could carry to counter
them. If you have any great ideas I will print some large
signs at Kinkos, I have lathe wood for the handles.
Here's a
silly example we planned to use at
Port Washington fish days (it's 22"x14").
