I tuned into PBS looking for Bill Moyers but found the Repug debate instead. I only watched a few short segments, one where the candidates were giving their positions on the economy. Each of them articulated the "perpetual motion" response to economic development: more tax cuts. This is the extent of their "deep-tought."
My impressions of the candidates and their chances against Feingold: Welch looks as if he would be Feingold's most articulate and professional challenger. Darrow is a self-centered idiot that believes the world revolves around his car dealership, I beleive he would be exposed in debates against Feingold. Michaels is running strictly as an ex-soldier having little more to offer.
Fortunately, Bill Moyers was on at 9pm the segment w/ Lou Dobbs was very nice.
