Apparently the Bush* campaign applied for their picnic permit on Friday. A Cub Scout Pack has to apply at least a week in advance to get a picnic permit for a given date at a Milwaukee County Park, but for some reason the Bush* folks can just waltz in and get one in a day. Hmmmmm... anybody smell Scott Walker??

They got a permit for Picnic Area 1 at Humboldt Park - which I understand is a fair distance away from the Edwards Block Party. The permit restricts them to only 50 attendees, and they don't have any amplification privileges, so they're not supposed to use that infernal bullhorn.

We'll see how well "the party of law and order" lives up to their self-annointed reputation. Judging by how they behaved at the Kerry event several weeks ago, I have my doubts.

2. Wouldn't it be interesting if
there were more protesters at the Bugsy show than supporters?
I wonder if there are enough WI people here to make it happen?

3. rodmant suggested in the Wisconsin forum...
...that a big group of level-headed people who weren't planning to volunteer for the event surround the Bush* folks and engage them in debate. That way they'll be distracted and can't disrupt. Sounds like you're in!

(I'll be volunteering - and I'm NOT all that level-headed at times...)
