Candlelight Vigil on Milwaukees Lakefront
Just came back from the Candlelight Vigil along Milwaukee's Lincoln Memorial Drive next to Veteran's Park. It was held in memory of the 1000+ soldiers killed in Iraq.

There were maybe 100-150 people I would guess, maybe more. All lined up along the curb holding candles and signs. Brought my 2 kids with and they sat on curb with their candles. Lots of thumbs up and peace signs, lots of honking.

So sad that this even had to be...

1. Thanks for the report, RL.
I made a committment to phone bank for Kennedy prior to when the vigil got scheduled, or I would have been there.

Sad.

2. We were out in Appleton, too
About 70 strong in Houdini Plaza downtown. I was a glorious mix of folks from small children to seniors like me. The circle kept growing continuously until we disbanded. Got local TV coverage as well - the Fox affiliate, believe it or not!
