Juvenile wind-surfing ad with female voice runs four -six times an hour!
MSNBC runs this one constantly...not the ad that the cable stations play on the pundit shows. This one has a "valley-girl" voice and is sponsored by american voter fund or something like that. I think this is one of those backfire ads!

1. IMHO, the more they run it, the greater the chance that it will backfire..
...people tend to tune out ads after the first couple of times, then the ad becomes very annoying.

5. I would think that most young people
are turned off by anyone (male or female) who talks like that, like, you know, like, yeah...

9. How do you explain the split
in amoung young voters? I was appauled to see a MTV poll that had 42% for Bush. I would think this group would be over the top for Kerry.

3. I heard a couple of days ago (on CNN or MSNBC) that there was a
$1 million ad buy of these windsurfer ads in Iowa and Wisconsin.

I'm in Iowa and it is almost every other ad.

I guess these land locked states are supposed to react with horror to Kerry windsurfing.

What a joke.

6. It tries to ridicule an alternate viewpoint to the war in Iraq
and then there is this silly beach music in the background. Sad.

10. Yeah, if we don't like windsurfing, how are we to relate to a Valley Girl?
Dude.

23.

7. That one's terrible.
I can't imagine anyone who's old enough to vote appreciating the "dude, like, yeah" stuff.

8. It's grody to the max
which indicates how out of touch the Repugs are with young voters. Like, I'm so sure Karl Rove approved this message.

Heaven helps us if REAL first-time voters, like, really talk that way!!!! Like, Oh my Gahhhd!

Gag me with a spoon (if * is through with it.)

11. Would love to see * try windsurfing -- no tacking? Straight into ocean?
Windsurfing is not easy, I can't believe they try to use it against Kerry?? Haven't seen the ad since they don't care about voters in Texas.

Would make a nice contrast to show a good windsurfer tacking/jibing to get where he wants, versus Bush trying to windsurf or Cheney holding a course straight out into the middle of the ocean -- or off the end of a flat earth.. ;)
